When we say one fee, we mean one fee. Unfortunately some of our competitors do not, and even worse, some have no regard for the rules!

UKPS are part of i-direct and that means attention to detail and ethical working!

Do not be fooled by companies that offer a ridiculously low price for service. Often legal documents simply cannot be served in one visit. This means your Process Server must go back a second time, sometimes even more than that!

When you find a Process Server offering to serve your documents for £50, ask yourself how they do it. Add up two round trips of say just 50 miles from base to place of service. Thats 100 miles. With todays fuel prices, then their time in making the journey, reporting, swearing an affidavit. It all cuts into that low fee. In fact you have to wonder how they make money!

It is not unheard of for Process Servers to simply say they have been twice or to say they left a letter of appointment, or even for them to post the document to be served through a letterbox flouting all rules of service following their one and only visit. We have spoken with competitors who say that making the visits over longer distances is 'bothersome' and 'the Client will never know anyway' and 'it's our word against theirs and the Court will believe us'. Sometimes what we hear is simply shocking!

You may also find that the low fee on offer is per visit and often you will not know about that until you receive the invoice, and then there are the extra's like the affidavit swear fee, mileage etc.

UKPS work ethically. We make sure we have a number of Process Servers in each county in the UK so that the distance travelled never becomes 'bothersome or 'too expensive with rising fuel costs' and we make sure you get a full report on each service. One that can be verified. You will never have a Defendant able to claim they were not there when a Process Server claims that they were personally served.
